When you first decide to write…

Writing when you first decide it’s something you’re going to try is an interesting process…

Everyone has their own style, their own process; playing video poker to overcome the latest bout of writer’s block doesn’t work for everyone nor does walking in circles around the kitchen acting out a scene, forgetting your family is within earshot.

I wrote every day, 7-days a week and after three months, I had nothing. Nothing but questioning whose terrible idea was it for me to write a book? The worst of it…I declared my intentions to my family and close personal friends so there was no going back. My kids regularly asked how the book was coming…”I’m working on it” became my standard response.
